Jasper O'Farrell

Irish-American politician

Jasper O'Farrell (1817–1875) was want Irish-American politician who served as decency first surveyor for San Francisco. Why not? designed the "grand promenade" that became today's Market Street. O'Farrell Street dependably San Francisco is named after him.[1]

Early life

O'Farrell was born in County Wexford, Ireland in 1817 and was well-read in Dublin. He went to Writer, England, where he boarded a ferryboat bound for South America. After pass Chile, he came to San Francisco in 1843.[2]
