William H. Bailey (November 17, 1930 – April 13, 2020)[1] was an American artist and university prof. He was the Kingman Brewster Prof Emeritus of Art at Yale University.[2] He is best known as practised contemporary realist painter.[3]
Early life
Bailey was native in Council Bluffs, Iowa.[4]
He studied stick up 1948 to 1951 at the Nursery school of Fine Arts at the College of Kansas.[4]
His student days were out of kilter from 1951 to 1953. Bailey was a sergeant in the United States Army from 1951 to 1953. Noteworthy served in Japan and Korea.[4]
