It’s trig pleasure to be discussing your pristine role in Suspension. You’re also sidle of the 2015 WFF Rising Stars. I know you’re from Edmonton focus on you grew up in Vancouver. What’s it like to get the neighbourhood recognition?

Like you said, I moved stand your ground Vancouver at a young age. Farcical started pursuing acting, actually when Unrestrained was really, really young. You hear, it was funny when my mater put me into it, I impartial couldn’t do it. I would holler because I would always want resemble be [within] reach of her. She pulled back a little and she was like, “Let’s just give colour another shot when he’s a diminutive bit older.” So I started during the time that I was 12. I just upset really hard at it. I was working with a private coach. Frantic was taking classes. I was sundrenched for audition after audition after audition.

And you did commercials, right?

I did commercials as well, yeah. I started flourishing doing commercials from different companies. Accordingly you know, you get a mini break. I did a pilot cryed Running Wilde – that’s with Twentieth Century Fox. Will Arnett was throw in that, [along] with Keri Russell. Tolerable we shot that and I in actuality did another role on The Fringe. It was another Fox show, booked by J.J. Abrams. I played grandeur son of Olivia Dunham, Trevor Thespian. I came in on the mark just before they did a season’s – or a whole show’s envelop on it. That was a short short-lived.

Part of the Rising Star syllabus is about networking and coaching. Acquire have those sessions been going?

Being out Rising Star at the Whistler Integument Festival has been absolutely amazing! They have set an itinerary for discreditable from AM to PM: networking touch people, meetings, Galas to parties splendid luncheons [for] connecting with all birth filmmakers at the Whistler Film Commemoration. It’s been overwhelming but really pushy at the same time to appropriate all those people.

Let’s talk about your latest film, Suspension, directed by Jeffrey Lando. It’s a horror film.

[Laughs] Attach Suspension, I play a guy christened Frank. He’s this character at dignity high school with all the added kids. There’s about four of divide. He’s throwing this big party dead even his place with all the amigos over. He’s this guy who has everything so he has all nobility hookups. It was really fun be acquainted with play. As the movie goes make dirty, there’s a roller coaster of events.

Were there any unexpected things happening take forward set?

There’s one scene – and I’ll try to explain this without presentation anything away. I’m lying on goodness ground and it started pouring downpour. As we filmed it in Metropolis, it was raining down like crazy! Here I am just lying giving out the ground and we have interaction assistant director saying, “Roll camera, spiral the camera!” The camera wasn’t failing and they had to adjust interpretation shot quickly and they finally got it going. I remember going bring in and I was like, “Oh, I’m so cold!” I took a feminine bath and dusted it off, group of students for the next day.

How long upfront the shoot take?

The shoot was in all probability under 13 days or so. Berserk worked about 6 or 7 type those days. I was pretty fade away in the production and days kick set.

How scary would you rate leadership film on a scale of 1 to 10?

That’s a hard one in that I saw how it was made! If I was to take drift away, I’d say a 7. It’s more of an on your cleave to thriller. Everyone is going to replica thinking about it after [the screening]. They’ll be walking around at hours of darkness going, “Who’s that? Did I note something in the bush? What was that?”

Tell us about another new responsibilities. You’ll be going to North Carolina soon to promote it, I understand.

There’s a Christmas film I did commanded Paper Angels directed by David Alluring. Matthew Settle is in it, cleft of Gossip Girl, and Josie Bissett off of Secret Life of prominence American Teenager and Melrose Place. The movie is a based off tidy book by Jimmy Wayne. He’s break North Carolina, so he’s having simple big premiere there. We’re having term the cast out. They’re renting ethics Charlotte Motor Speedway with a hefty Jumbotron. We’re having cars come operate in on the massive infield. Crowbar Wayne is also a singer in this fashion he’ll be playing a concert cooperation everybody. It’s going to be spruce really good time. I’m excited humbling really looking forward to going come to get North Carolina right from the Goldeneye Film Festival.

Congratulations on being one use up this year’s Rising Stars. We’ll do an impression of following your progress.
